Retail Travel Consultant – Independent Travel Company – Glasgow area (various locations)
Our client, a leading independent travel company, is currently looking to recruit a number of experienced retail travel consultants to join their well established travel teams based in their busy office across the Glasgow area (various locations)
As a retail travel consultant you will primarily handle travel requests from direct customers within a busy retail travel office, and make reservations for all areas of retail travel including package holidays, flights, city breaks, cruises & luxury holidays. You will be flexible to tailor-make holidays & travel itineraries for customers with flights and various ground products (hotels, car hire, etc), and up-sell ancillary services to help maximise the revenue & profit on each individual booking. You will also handle all after sales administration including taking payments and handling ticket dispatch, and have the ability to offer all customers excellent destination & product knowledge.
As a retail travel consultant you will have previous experience working in a similar travel sales or reservations role for an independent or multiple travel agency in the UK, and have strong experience booking all areas of retail travel. You will be sales & target driven, and have proven experience tailor-making holidays & travel itineraries to match the exact requirements of each customer. You will be a self-starter who can work well as part of a team as well as on their own initiative. You will also be extremely customer focused and have a good overall knowledge of the UK travel industry.
Salary on offer is up to £25,000 based on experience, along with a great commission structure & benefits package, and sociable hours of work 5 days a week
